I would be remiss if I failed to mention remarkable works like “The wedding party”, “Lionheart”, ” The Bling Lagosians”,”The meeting “, “Suru l’ere”, “Chief Daddy” and “October 1,” by such great talent as Kunle Afolayan, Mildred Okwo, Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, Bolanle Austen-Peters and Kemi Adetiba.
They are not only entertaining but provide valuable insight about life in Nigeria and the African continent. A welcome change from the poverty, misery and neglect the western media is wont to promote. Africans are beginning to tell their own stories in their own voice. Bravo!
