A Few Words For Esther Uzoma Esq., LLB, BL – A Tribute upon news of her passing on Jan. 7, 2021

Esther in her Element. Prime Human and Civil Activist Extraordinaire.

Adieu to an AmaziNG Amazon.

A woman of timber and Caliber.

A learned friend and Sister.

Blessed  with Intellect, Girth and Mirth.

A jovial and dependable gentleman in skirt.

A lawyer par excellence.

A colossus of our time.

A gentle giant in words and conduct.

You were a phenomenon

That came with a peculiar form

Of passion and gravity

That attracted and challenged

All of us to do better and be better.

It still feels like #fake News

Because you were so full of life

And rather ubiquitous.

You were like a recurring decimal

At bar meetings, bar conferences and

On the News defending Human Rights

And promoting credible elections.

The Election Situation Room and Public Hearings

wouldn’t be the same without you.

But we must soldier on because you would’ve wanted it so.

We love you but God loves you more.

Your legacy lives on in our memories

And the lives you touched positively.

May God grant you eternal rest

In his bosom and your family

The fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Rest in Power O daughter of Zion.

Till we meet again at the big party in the Sky.
