The Duke makes his final Journey in Style

The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip Mountbatten, Husband and Consort of Queen Elizabeth II of England for 73 years, was laid to rest today, Saturday 17th April 2021 in a private ceremony held in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Due to COVID 19 protocols the funeral was limited to a private family occasion with a colorful military and personal touch.

The Duke was a man of principle and tradition. His demise is a huge blow to Queen and Country. He was a uniting force in the British Monarchy for much of the 20th and part of the 21st Century. His legacy is quite immense and instructive. Especially for students of History and Tradition.

A friend jokingly referred to him as a relic of the Commonwealth and Colonialism. At almost a hundred years old, (1921 – 2021) passing almost 2 months to his 100th Birthday, I am tempted to agree.

Adieu Sir, High Prince Philip we salute you and celebrate you.

Rest in Peace.
