Guess what guys ! I got a call from a friend recently and he said he was at the Mall with a lady whom he saw reading my book over a cup of coffee and muffins. She was surprised when he walked up to her and said, “Hey that’s my buddy Alex’s book you have there.” They got talking and decided to call me. Apparently she was also a creative who taught abused kids Art and Craft at a centre run by an NGO. Using art to heal. She told me what she liked about my book was the fusion of literature and visual art. She called it “fresh and engaging”.
I enjoyed speaking with her and was thrilled by the fact that a piece of me was out there interacting and engaging with a kindred spirit.
One of the joys of writing or creating generally. The feeling was priceless. Definitely made my day.
