I remember my International law professor telling us about “perestroika” and “glasnost”. Restructuring and transparency. He also talked about meetings between Reagan and Gorbachev leading to the removal of the Berlin wall, which symbolized the end of the cold war between USA and USSR. Some Historians and Political scientists have said Gorbachev saved the world from a nuclear war but was not able to save his country and the soviet union from disintegration.
In the end history and posterity shall judge the deeds and lives of men.
